Position Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Remote Position – (may be required to travel up to 20% of the time)

Position Status: Non-Exempt

Position Type: Full-time, Regular

Reports To: Director, Global Revenue Accounting & Operations

Role Summary:

The Senior Accountant role will be responsible for the Gross Margin reporting across our multiple locations, with a focus on ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our cost of goods sold. This role will work closing with cross functional teams to analyze and report on key metrics and drive continuous improvements in our financial reporting process .

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform the gross margin reporting process for multiple locations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Develop and maintain accounting processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions and cost of goods sold.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of inventory accounts and prepare related journal entries.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP
  • Work with the Order to Cash and FP&A teams to prepare and analyze monthly results in accordance with both GAAP and internal management reporting requirements.
  • Regularly communicate with site managers and operations personnel to assess changes in utilization, efficiencies, and market trends that may have a direct impact on costs and profitability.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis requests.
  • Participate in the implementation of accounting software systems, including NetSuite and provide ongoing support and training to end users.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements │ Skills │ Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) in progress
  • 3+ years of experience, either Big 4 accounting or a mix of Big 4 and industry
  • Strong technical/operational accounting knowledge base.
  • Experience with NetSuite or equivalent system (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is an asset.
  • Highly proficient in Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a virtual environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
