About the Role:
Farsight is seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Accountant to strengthen our accounting advisory services. This key role involves leading complex financial record-keeping, managing detailed reconciliations, and overseeing general accounting tasks that are pivotal in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our clients’ financial operations. This position is suited for an accounting professional who is eager to apply and deepen their experience in a vibrant, client-focused setting and who is looking to develop their leadership and managerial skills.
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough financial analyses and compile detailed reports to assist in client advisory and internal management decisions.
- Manage the completion of periodic financial reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and addressing any irregularities or issues.
- Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting cycles, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of financial statements.
- Support in overseeing accounts payable and receivable functions, guaranteeing precision in invoicing and expeditious handling of payments.
- Support the development and refinement of accounting policies and procedures to maintain best practices within the firm.
- Work in tandem with finance team leaders to guarantee integrated financial management and reporting.
- Assist with the preparation and provision of financial documentation and schedules for external audit inquiries.
- Maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations, staying informed on updates and their implications for both the firm and clients.
- Provide accounting insights and recommendations to enhance client financial strategies and operational effectiveness.
- Engage directly with clients to clarify financial data, resolve questions, and deliver insights on accounting-related matters.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in general accounting or a related role.
- Public accounting a plus; experience with retail/ecomm a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting software platforms.
- Demonstrable understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Exceptional attention to detail, precision, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze and present detailed financial data in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Proven track record of working in a team environment and liaising with multiple departments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Motivated self-starter, able to work autonomously and adhere to tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced setting, meeting the needs of various clients and internal stakeholders.
