Job Title : Senior Accountant
Job Purpose
This position is intended to perform the necessary Finance & Accounting activities in their focus area with minimal management oversight & a high degree of independence. Core responsibilities include but are not limited to month end closing entries, account reconciliation & analysis, process management & improvement and ad-hoc assignments in support of the Director Finance &
Accounting or VP Finance.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring transactions are in accordance with GAAP, JSOX, and internal policies and procedures are followed
- Prepare monthly journal entries and support, in line with communicated closing schedule
- Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and analysis
- Assist with analyzing financial statements and provide recommendations to improve business performance or efficiency
- Prepare documentation & support internal and external audit requirements as needed
- Collaborate cross-functionally to manage & improve financial, business & internal control processes on a continuous basis
- Perform ad-hoc assignments or special project work for the Director Finance & Accounting or the VP Finance
- Comply with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements and all other applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 6+ years of Finance & Accounting experience
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong organization and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent MS Excel skills; SAP experience preferred.
- Must be flexible to work late hours if needed.
