By Azam Khan
With wings outstretched, I ascend, I glide,
Breaking chains, no longer tied.
Through boundless skies where dreams ignite,
I find my freedom in the light.
The winds of fate elevate me high,
To touch the stars, to kiss the sky.
No walls, no bars, can bind my soul,
For I was born to be made whole.
I chase the sun, embrace the dawn,
A bird that’s free, forever drawn
To lands unknown, where hope still sings,
I revel in my freedom’s wings.
No longer anchored to the earth below,
In endless skies, I freely go.
I rise, I fall, I dance on air,
The world below, no longer cares.
In every gust, in every breeze,
I feel the power to be at ease.
For freedom’s not a place, a land,
But wings of courage, faith at hand.
So let me fly, let me be free,
Untethered in eternity.
For I am more than earthly things—
I am the freedom of my wings.
